The Fondo de Inversión Ambiental de El Salvador (FIAES) and the Banco de Desarrollo de El Salvador (BANDESAL) signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen programs focused on adequate environmental education, with an informative, formative and participatory approach.

The agreement will contribute to the fulfillment of the seventeen Sustainable Development Objectives proposed by the National Agency for Sustainable Development 2015-2030, of the United Nations (UN), through the realization of educational activities, technical assistance and awareness-raising on some prioritized environmental issues.

In an articulated effort, BANDESAL will support with non-reimbursable financing the development of environmental training and natural resource protection actions that will add to FIAES' experience in the protection and restoration of ecosystems.

"I HOPE IT'S YOUR COMMITMENTS YOU KEEP. THEY KNOW THEY CAN COUNT ON US."

It is expected that the agreement will contribute to the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Objectives, mainly those related to the life of terrestrial ecosystems, underwater life, responsible production and consumption, clean water and sanitation, quality education and zero hunger.

For the implementation of the agreement, BANDESAL will contribute a total of $31,500 and the supervision of the execution of the activities will be carried out through its Environmental Unit, until the proposed objectives are met within 7 months from June.
